:: VILLAGE MARINA (1km
West of Poljica)
MARINA
is a little Middle Dalmatian
village, former fishermen
settlement and today small
paradise for those seeking
for peace, quiet and friendly
environment. The most
distinctive monument is
old fortress "Kula"
in the village center,
used in the past for defense
for Turks, now renovated
in nice hotel. It is charming
coastal village with marina
for nautic-oriented guests,
implemented in the village
center, just across the
old fortress. Marina is
able to accommodate up
to 180 boats and yachts.
There are several fine
restaurants, bars and
grocery shops in the
village center. Our reccommendation
for enjoyable Dalmatian
meal will be Restaurant
& Bar "Sesula"
in village Marina center
- local cuisine combined
with warm and relaxed
atmosphere.
:: TOWN OF TROGIR (8km
East of Poljica)
TROGIR's world famous
old town core, recognized
by UNESCO world heritage
in 1997, represents the
location you should not
miss while you are on
vacation in VILLA ANNIE.
The heart of Trogir
is small islet laying
between the gentle hills
on the mainland and the
coast of the Island
of Ciovo. Small town
of 12000 citizens
is the center of micro
- region which covers
250km2. Trogir is a real
treasury of art, or a
"Town-Museum"
as the famous Berenson
put it. Ancient Kairos,
Roman fragments and inscriptions,
and rustic Early Croatian
art will compete for our
attention. Variety of
fine restaurants, bars,
cocktail lounges and cafe's
are located on the islet.
Several shopping centers
are also located very
near to the center (across
the old Town Bridge, on
the Main Market). Find

:: TOWN OF SPLIT (30km
East of Poljica)
Split
is the economic and administrative
center of Middle Dalmatia,
with about 200,000 inhabitants.
It is also the jumping-off
point for exploration
of the coast and islands
of the beautiful Croatian
Adriatic. The site was
first settled when, at
the end of the third century
AD, the Roman Emperor
Diocletian built his palace
here. The importance of
Diocletian's Palace far
transcends local significance
because of its level of
preservation and the buildings
of succeeding historical
periods built within its
walls, which today form
the very heart of old
Split.
Split offers you it´s
many charmes: the pines
of the Marjan forest,
the murmur of the sea
and the sound of a dalmatian
song on the stone streets
of the city. Being aware
of the importance of tourism,
Split built a number of
modern hotels, ant its
face, turned to sea, has
been adorned with a line
of marinas, ranked among
the most beautiful ones
on the Mediterranean.
Tourists have the privilege
of seeing performances
of top quality known as
the Split Summer Festival.

:: KRKA NATIONAL PARK
(60km West of Poljica)
Drive
to Sibenik hinterland
to the famous Krka Waterfalls.
Located in the lovely
Krka national park, the
falls cascade over 17
natural barriers. This
permanent play of the
sun and water creates
a breathtaking scenery.
The Krka National Park
was proclaimed a national
park in 1985; it is the
seventh national park
in Croatia. It is located
in the Šibenik and
Knin county, and occupies
an area of 111 km2 along
the course of the Krka
River, two kilometres
downstream from Knin to
Skradin, and the lower
course of the Cikola.
The travertine, limestone
sedimented from water,
which builds the travertine
curtains, sills, beards
and other geomorphological
forms, is the fundamental
phenomenon and principal
feature of the National
Park. The falls are a
biodynamic creation, the
living travertine constantly
growing today as well,
through the sedimentation
process. Find out more
about Krka National Park
on their official web
pages.
